Description

Olivier (Nael Marandin) is not too much unlike any other boy roughly ten years of age. Living in a small French village during the 1930's, he has a best friend, David (Sylvain Thoirey), deals with neighborhood bullies, attempts to control his single mother's romantic life. Trouble starts when our young hero's mom dies and questions about who will care for him and where he will reside arise. At first, David's parents offer shelter, but by this episode's end, they opt to send him elsewhere, to both boys' discontent. A well done start for a made-for-television epic recommended!
