Description

Nicholas Brande (played by 11-year-old Jon Whiteley) is the lonely son of a British consul living in Madrid who finds solace with the handsome Gardener who works on the property. His father grows jealous and viciously tries to separate the two, demanding that he no longer associate with his new friend. But on one paticular nasty night Nicholas chooses the Gardener over his father, bringing the diplomat to a crisis of conscience and a fight to win his son back.
